In Matthew's account of the life and work of Jesus, he recorded the pledge that Jesus made that He would build His church and nothing would stand against it or defeat it, Matthew 16:13-20.

As the Creator of heavens and earth, Jesus had the power to do whatever He set His mind to do.  If He wanted to build a church, or a body of believers, that would endure until His second coming, there is no reason for us to doubt the promise.

Yet there is so much religious confusion in the world today about what defines the Lord's church.  This series will look into the pages of God's Word for answers...
